6.Hot Couture

Bonjour mon cheries!
Happy turkey day!

Today (or yesterday, or last week, or three months ago, depending on when you are reading this and where you are) is the day we Americans are thankful, stuff ourselves with food, then have dessert, then have some more food, which probably isn't that good for us :) Following this glorious meal, we proceed to take a quick nap, then wake up at 1 am to go shopping. Thats right. 1 AM! Even earlier for most folks....and while we are standing in line, waiting to get into a store for something we most likely don't even need, we will be wearing the only kind of clothing we own that will stretch to the proportions we will need it too, keep us warm, and still look reasonably good. And unless you are Sue Sylvester, you probably only wear this outfit once, twice max, a year. So what is this ubiquitous outfit? The sweat/tracksuit. Thats right. TRAAAAAAAACKsuit. I don't even own one. I have a two-sizes-too-big-keeps-me-warm-and-cozy sweatshirt. It is, along with a pair of jeans, my its-too-early-to-bother-getting-dressed-in-real-clothes outfit. Yup, we got up THAT early last year :)

Anywhoo, here are some beautiful, comfortable track/sweatsuits, courtesy of style.com. Check it out :

So tomorrow, when you pull out your "comfy clothing" keep these in mind. And maybe, just maybe, when you are standing in line, you'll see one of these on the rack....

                    Until Whenever,

        Justina

PS. I ( obviously) HAVE returned from mission! Unfortunately, I was not able to complete it. It has been filed as "Incomplete, ongoing" with the FBI. You can check the status of this (and all others) mission on my "missions" page to the right!

5.Everyday fashion at the Park

Parks are very inspirational places. In the fall, the trees are cool colors. In the winter, everything feels...winterish. In the spring, you can hear the happy sounds of the first games of the season. In the summer, well, it just..is.

I go to the park with a group every week. This week, I sort of ..sprang a photo shoot on them. By not warning any of them I would be wielding a camera, I caught them wearing what they felt comfortable in. I find that this is how you can predict the upcoming trends. I had my "models" ( Very cooperative friends, I love them :D) pose up on the "castle" (playgrounds) balcony..then I shouted "Look up! Search for the rain fairy!" (It was a cold, wet, rainy day) if you look closely at their faces, you can see which ones "saw the rain fairy"..

So now I am sure you are wondering, "What trend did she discover?" look at the pictures and see if you can figure it out. If not, just scroll to the bottom, where I spill the proverbial beans.
Oh yeah, Madison is seeing the rain fairy.. :)
No, the floor of the "balcony" is not a trampoline, Mariana simply has "bounce-ibility" :)

Geez, I look really tall in this pic...I am only 5'6...

And this last photo they asked me to share with you, because, well, they think it shows my "essence"..Load of rubbish, I think they just think it is a funny picture of me....

This is me before our  "photo shoot", telling them NOT to take a picture of me....

Anywho, as you can see in the first two photos, the "look" I found was..comfortable. Hoodies, generic t-shirts, skinny jeans and converse.  I am wearing an Aeropostale sweater ($9.99 thrift store find, brand new, still had tags), green layer shirt, Old Navy boot cut jeans, and (the ever-present) sparkly converse.
Funnily enough, when I showed up at at the park, all but two of the girls were wearing some version this "look". I was one of them.. :p I am not a fan of skinny jeans, and it was waaaay to cold for me to not show off my new sweater :)

So go to your local park with some friends, pull out your camera and start snapping...you never know what you might find behind the lens :)

Until Whenever,
Justina

3. I dream of......PLAID!!!

Bonjour Mon Cheries,

I normally avoid making predictions, but..... I PREDICT PLAID IS MAKING A COMEBACK THIS WINTER!!!!!
Yes, that deserved all caps!! I love plaid... Here  are some images from Style.com:

2. Pick it, then NEVER let it go.

You know that one piece of clothing you can't live without? No matter how many times your wear it, every time it feels like you just bought it? Everyone has SOMETHING. Mine are my glittery, sparkly converse:
Aren't they cool? :) So what's yours??? Think about it like this: If you had to go to a high fashion show wearing only ONE item of clothing (Yes, this includes shoes) what would it be?

Until Whenever,
Justina

1. If it doesn't look good, don't wear it.

Bonjour Mon Cheries,

Rule number one: If it doesn't look good, don't wear it.

It is of my opinion that no matter how "In" something is, if it doesn't look good on you, or you don't feel comfortable, beautiful, etc, you should not wear it. On this blog I will share many fashions with you, but if you look at it and think "ehmaGAWD that is HIDEOUS!" then by all means, skip that post and forget you ever saw it. Trends are fashion that the masses approve of. If you don't, start a new one.

Until whenever,

Justina
